Oh my goodness. I just made the most heavenly guilt-free chocolate peanut butter balls. Not only are the amazingly delicious, they are packed full of protein and energy and they are low in sugar. They are also ridiculously easy to make. I’m actually sitting here wondering why I didn’t make them sooner. I had been meaning to make them for the past year, but just kept putting it off. I’m so glad I finally got around to making them. They are going to be perfect for a post-workout snack! And since they are low in sugar, they are also going to make healthy snacks for the kids too.
These Chocolate Peanut Butter Energy Bites are super easy to make. All you need is natural peanut butter, chocolate protein powder (I use Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Natural Whey), a banana, ground golden flax, and dark chocolate chips. The delicious combination of ingredients reminds me of chocolate chip cookie dough, only much healthier!
Simply mix all ingredients together, form into golf ball-sized balls, and then place in an airtight container and freeze for at least two hours. I put mine in a plastic container and used parchment paper to keep them from sticking together. After two hours, you can either keep them in the freezer or transfer them to the fridge.

I calculated in and there are about 215 calories in 1 ball. Which seems like a lot to me.
