9 Tips to a Good Night’s Sleep + Zarbee’s Children’s Sleep Coupon

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Zarbee’s Naturals. I received product samples and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

All three of my kiddos have been great sleepers ever since they were babies. I thrive on structure, so I made sure they were on a consistent schedule from the beginning. This was especially important with my twin girls. Now that they are four, they are still great nappers and bedtime sleepers. They go to sleep on their own and rarely wake up in the middle of the night. There are times, however, that they do have trouble falling asleep. For example, Daylight Savings Time has their little bodies all confused right now. This is when Zarbee’s Naturals Children’s Sleep comes in handy!

Zarbee's Children's Sleep

Zarbee’s Children’s Sleep was developed by pediatrician and father of four, Dr. Zak Zarbock. It is a safe and effective remedy for occasional sleeplessness. Each chewable, grape flavored tablet contains just 1 mg of clinically proven melatonin, a hormone that our bodies naturally produce as part of the sleep cycle, promoting restful sleep in children 3 years and up. It is gluten, drug, and dairy-free. The ingredients are natural, non-habit forming and won’t leave your little ones feeling groggy the next day.

Zarbee’s Children’s Sleep is particularly helpful in resetting kids’ sleep cycles during period of disruption, such as a change in routine, traveling, or like we are experiencing right now, Daylight Savings Time. My twin girls have had trouble falling asleep ever since the time change went into effect this past weekend. This results in long days filled with tantrums. We have found that giving each of the girls a tablet of Children’s Sleep at bedtime has helped them calm down and fall asleep more easily. This has definitely helped them adjust to the time change better!

Besides using Children’s Sleep to help with the recent time change, we have used it in the past to help one of my twin girls fall asleep at night. She is a very active child and sometimes has trouble “turning off” when it’s bedtime. The Children’s Sleep has been wonderful for the occasional sleeplessness she suffers from!

If you’re child has a hard time going to sleep at night, Zarbee’s Children’s Sleep might be something you want to give a try. You may also want to see if implementing Dr. Zak’s Nine Tips to a Good Night’s Sleep helps!

Dr. Zak’s Nine Tips to a Good Night’s Sleep

  1. Consistency is Key – Keep bedtimes and routines across every night of the week
  2. Create a Sleep Friendly Bedroom – Make it dark, quiet, and slightly cool. Remove TVs and other distractions
  3. Stick to a Routine – Dedicate 20-30 min every night to a routine that helps your child wind down
  4. Go “e-free” in the Evening – Avoid electronics before bed – they can interfere with sleep
  5. Teach How to Sleep – Allow your child to fall asleep in her own bed
  6. Going to Sleep is Not a Game – Firmly remind your child that it is time to sleep
  7. Know the Numbers – Make sure you know how many hours of sleep your child should be getting each day
  8. Brighten the Day and Stay Active – Waking earlier and getting physical activity can encourage earlier bedtimes
  9. No Caffeine for Bedtime Snack – Caffeine should be avoided by children altogether but especially 3-4 hours before bedtime

I have found that the key to having good sleepers is consistency and sticking to a routine. Every night we wind down by cuddling and reading books together. We follow by brushing teeth and giving lots of hugs and kisses. My kids know that when the lights go out, it’s time to go to sleep. It doesn’t always go perfectly. Sometimes they need extra kisses or a drink of water. And sometimes it takes Children’s Sleep to do the trick!
