This post brought to you by Gro-ables. All opinions are 100% mine.
I am so anxious for the weather to warm up so that we can enjoy more time outdoors. The kids have been dying to play in the yard, and I am looking forward to planting flowers and getting our garden started.
Last year was our first year growing a garden and it turned out really well! I think part of its success was using Scotts Gro-ables, a pre-packaged seed pod designed by Miracle-Gro that makes it incredibly easy to grow your own herbs and veggies from seed. If you’ve always wanted to try growing your own food, but have felt intimidated by the process, Gro-ables are a great option. The seed pods are are so easy to use and are guaranteed to grow! (when used as directed)
I really like that Gro-ables takes the guesswork out of gardening and growing your own food. Since my husband and I are new to gardening, it definitely makes the process easier! I also like that they are affordable. At just $1.29-$1.49 per seed pod (depending on the market), it’s a great way to get a small garden started.
I can’t wait to use Gro-ables again this year. They are so easy to use and they produce great herbs and vegetables! I never got around to it last year, but this year I would love to use the tomatoes, jalepenos and cilantro that we will grow to make homemade pico de gallo.
I found this recipe and it looks like it will be really easy to make. It will be perfect for hot summer days!

2 tablespoons minced, seeded jalapeño or serrano chiles (about 2 medium)
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon salt, plus more to taste
Directions
- Cut the tomatoes into 1/4-inch dice and place in a bowl.
- Add the remaining ingredients and stir well to combine. Cover and allow to rest at room temperature for 1 hour for the flavors to meld. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed before serving.

I don't have much of a green thumb; however, there are several in my family that do. I will tell them about Gro-Ables. The recipe for homemade Pico de Gallo looks delicious. Thanks for the recipe.
