Nurturme Organic Toddler Snacks {Review & Giveaway}

Nurturme Organic Toddler Snacks

I first heard about the Nurturme brand a few years ago when my middle daughter was born. I was intrigued but back then availability was very limited, and in the whirlwind of having a new baby, I forgot all about it. Recently, I was given the opportunity to try Nurturme’s Yum-A-Roo’s Organic Toddler Snacks and I couldn’t have been more excited!

All of the Yum-A-Roo’s Snacks are organic and freeze dried. The fact that they’re organic is great because I know that each bite has all the good stuff without any “added” ingredients that I don’t want. And freeze drying takes all the goodness and locks it in so that the snacks are as good and healthy as eating fresh fruits and vegetables. I haven’t been privy to Nurturme’s other offerings, but if they are anything like the Yum-A-Roo’s Snacks in terms of quality and flavor, then we might just need to have another baby to try them out….just kidding, we are done having babies, but they are really amazing.

I’ll admit, I was skeptical about trying these snacks because in the past we had tried freeze dried snacks and were they were sour. That is so not the case at all with Yum-A-Roo’s. I know they are targeted towards younger kids but I love them so much! I have trouble sharing them with my kids (I know, mom of the year).

Something I really appreciate about the Yum-A-Roo’s Snacks is that they didn’t just stop at fruit. I love fruit as much as anyone, and so do my kids, but I’m sure I’m not the only mom who struggles when it comes to getting my kids to eat veggies. My kids are weird and they all like broccoli, but most other veggies are a fight.

Nurturme Organic Snacks

Nurturme has really worked hard to create fun combos that kids will eat. They have four flavor combos including banana, apple, broccoli; pea, banana, pineapple; pea, sweet corn, apple; and banana, mango, pineapple. My personal favorite is the last one: banana, mango, pineapple. My girls really liked both the banana, apple, broccoli and the pea, sweet, corn, apple.

It actually surprised me that every one of my girls loved these! My oldest who is six has been picky since the day she was born, but she ate these like I was handing her candy. And it did’t stop with her. My youngest who’s 2 gobbled them up as did my middle daughter who is 3. They are an all around great snack that’s healthy and my kids view as a treat. What more could a parent want?

If you are interested in trying these out for yourself (and you really should!) check out the Nurturme website to see if a store near you carries them. There are also plenty of online retailers who carry them, including walgreens.com, toysrus.com, and amazon.com to name a few.
