Fun & Easy Peeps Bunny Cookies for Easter

Spring showers bring May flowers…and delicious spring treats! While it’s not officially spring yet, there are tell-tale signs that it’s on its way. The weather is getting warmer, the days are getting longer and the trees are starting to bud. My kids have anxiously been counting down the days to Easter (which also happens to fall on spring break), so I decided to it would be fun to start our spring cookie baking a little early.

Nestle Toll House Rolled & Ready Cookie Dough Sheets

Each year my kids and I bake cookies for Easter. We like to use cookie cutters to cut out fun shapes like flowers, eggs, and bunnies. The process for making our traditional sugar cookie dough can be a little time-consuming, so I was happy to discover Nestle Toll House Rolled & Ready Cookie Dough Sheets at the grocery store.

Nestle Toll House Rolled and Ready Cookie Dough makes baking during any holiday season quick, easy and stress free. Each pack comes with two sheets of pre-rolled and floured cookie dough sheets. All you have to do is take the sheets out and you can instantly start creating your favorite cookies!

Fun & Easy Peeps Bunny Cookies for Easter

My twin girls had so much fun making these “Peeps” Easter Bunny cookies using the Rolled and Ready Cookie Dough. I gave each of them a sheet of dough and let them cut out cute bunny heads using the bunny cookie cutter I found at Target. Then we placed them on cookie sheets and baked them in the oven for 10 minutes. After letting them cool, the fun part began — decorating!

I used bright gel food coloring to make different colored frosting and then I let my girls frost their own cookies with a butter knife. Once they were done, I used black sparkle gel frosting to make eyes and a nose on each bunny. We’re definitely not professionals when it comes to decorating cookies, but I think they turned out cute and I can’t get over how easy they were to make!
