Reader Stacey O. emailed me to tell me that she recently downloaded the ValPak Coupon App for her Blackberry, a great alternative to the coupons that come in the mail. I believe most cities participate in ValPak and you most likely receive those blue envelopes full of coupons on a monthly basis. If you are like me, and probably a lot of other people, you either throw the coupons away, or forget about them and then when you need one it’s expired. I usually try to take out the ones I know I will use, but then don’t have them when we are out and about. This really defeats the purpose of having them.
The ValPak App is a great solution to this problem! Like Stacey says, “This is handy since sometimes I don’t know what I need until I’m out and about. Now I can bring up the app and the coupons and do it on the go. The app also has it organized by category which is excellent!”

How to get the ValPak App on your phone:
I downloaded the app on my iPhone, but you should be able to download it on just about any smartphone that has an app store. The best part is it’s FREE! You can either access the app store on your phone and search for “ValPak,” or you can go HERE to the ValPak mobile site to see if your phone is compatible and download the app directly from the site.
The app is super easy to use! Just find a coupon in the category you are needing, and then show your coupon to the business when you make your purchase and the coupon will be applied. Some businesses may not accept mobile coupons, so make sure you ask.
