It’s that time of year when everyone seems to get sick. We have been lucky enough to not come down with anything too serious, but we all did have a minor cold last week. Our only symptoms were runny noses and sore throats. We loaded up on vitamins and got lots of rest and thankfully it didn’t last long.
To ease our throat discomfort, we used Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops. We had received them for review awhile back, but hadn’t had a chance to try them out yet. We were excited to put them to the test!

Pine Bros. has been a trusted American-made brand since 1870. The throat drops come in bags or refillable pucks that are perfect for taking on-the-go. We had the opportunity to try the Wild Cherry and Natural Honey.
We were all surprised to find that they really are “softish.” I had never had a cough drop that wasn’t hard, so I wasn’t really sure what to expect. I would say that they are a little bit harder than a gummy bear — soft enough to chew but hard enough that they don’t dissolve too quickly. I prefer the Natural Honey, but my kids love the Wild Cherry. Both have a natural, sweet flavor. They aren’t very intense, so they are great even for kids to use (recommended ages 3+).
Overall, we recommend the Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drop for minor throat irritation. For a really bad sore throat you may need something a little more intense.

You can purchase Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops at stores like CVS, Walgreens, and Drugstore.com. They retail for around $3 for a pack of 26-32 drops.

Been using them for years. Looking for the little round tins they use to come in. Do they still make them and where could I get one?

Gooday to all! I've been a fan of Pine Bros Wild Cherry cough drops since I was a kid (a LLLOOONNNGGG time ago). As a kid, I'd frequently get sore throats and those worked the best for me. The other rarely obtainable, but it worked as well was the Pine Bros Licorice cough drops. I'm having a tough time finding either in my "Neck of the Woods!" Eastern Upstate NY. Oh, by the way, the date in my email is my year of birth. So I wasn't kidding when I said a LLLOOONNNGGG time ago!

The texture sounds interesting, I'd like to try these. My entire family (including the in-laws!) could certainly use some right now!

The Pine Bros. drops sound like if you have a minor sore throat or even a scratchy one that these would help. I'd never had a "softish" cough drop before but they sure are worth a try. Thanks for the great review!

I should grab a pack of these next time I'm out. I'm just getting over the worst case of the flu and my throat is still sore. It's one of those things you don't think about putting on the shopping list until you're home sick and wish you had some! I like that they aren't overly intense.
