Our twin girls just turned 2.5, so we decided that it was finally time to transition them from cribs to big girl beds. We had been dreading the move for a long time. We were afraid that they wouldn’t sleep well, but we have been pleasantly surprised! The new beds have brought so much excitement that the girls have actually been wanting to lay down for naps and go to bed. I am just hoping that the novelty doesn’t wear off!

Along with getting new beds, I wanted to finally decorate their rooms. We hadn’t done much to them since we moved in, so I figured it would be a great time to give them a girly touch! I’m not a super crafty or artistic person, so when I set out to find items to decorate their rooms with I focused on looking for wall stickers that I could easily apply. We planned on putting a tree in each of the girls’ rooms and then splitting the rest of the kit between them. I really didn’t want to have to do any painting, so this was the perfect solution!

Our Experience

When we received our package from My Wonderful Walls, all we had to do was remove the sheets of wall stickers from the mailing tube and unroll them and they were ready to go. However, before my husband and I began applying them, we made sure to wipe down all the walls with a damp microfiber towel to remove any dust or dirt (this ensures that the stickers will stick properly). Once that was done, we simply peeled the stickers from the sheet and placed them on the wall where we wanted them to go. It was super easy! We were able to do both of the girls rooms in about two hours {that included me changing my mind and moving things around a few times}.

As you can see, we were able to divide the Splendid Garden Kit between both rooms (in addition to each room having a tree). Each room now has one wall/area that is decorated. If you were to use all 62 stickers in one room, you could do several walls. The kit definitely goes a long way!

We absolutely love how great the wall stickers look! From a distance you can’t tell that they are stickers at all. Since the stickers are fabric, they don’t have a glossy sheen like a lot of wall stickers do. This gives them the appearance of being hand painted. They really look stunning! We have already received lots of compliments from family and friends, and the girls are loving their new rooms!
