New Wave Enviro Stainless Steel Food Containers {Review & Giveaway}

In perfect timing with the start of school, I had the opportunity to try these super cute, Seriously Safe Stainless Steel Food Containers with Tinted Lids from a company called New Wave Enviro.

I had been searching high and low for something that was easy to use, reusable, durable, and fun for my daughter’s lunches, and the Seriously Safe Stainless Steel Food Containers definitely fit the bill. I LOVE that they are chemical free so I do not have to worry about any unwanted extras going into my daughter’s lunch and she thought the colors were great!

They are the perfect size for the half sandwich and veggie or fruit I usually pack for her, or when I added a reusable muffin liner, they easily turned into the perfect container for homemade Lunchables. Their website boasts that they are “Durable and rugged – designed for everyday use. Go ahead and throw them in your bag – they won’t open until you open them!” and I couldn’t agree more! In fact, my daughter dropped hers while it was full of carrots and cookies, and the lid did not budge!

I had one beef with these containers, however, I feel that it’s easily overcome. The small metal piece that divides the container in half does not quite seal at the bottom and the top does not reach all the way to the lid. So, the first day I used these, I put carrots and cookies in it and I ended up with soggy cookies (from the wet carrots) and coated carrots (from the cookie crumbs). For us, the easy remedy was to use more than one container, and put wet things (like her carrots and blueberries) in one container and dry things (like her sandwich and cookies) in another. With one simple change, these are the perfect solution to our on-the-go lunch needs!

Overall, I am very pleased with this eco-friendly product. It washes great in the dishwasher (top rack only), it can stand up to whatever my girls throw at it, and it’s cute to boot!
