I have a tendency to clench my teeth when I sleep. I have noticed that I do it more when I am stressed or don’t feel well. Whenever I do it, I always wake up with a bad headache and pain in my jaw. It affects the whole rest of my day. For years I have just dealt with it because I couldn’t see spending $300-$400 to have a night guard made.
Just recently a company called Pro Teeth Guard contacted me to review one of their night guards. Their email came at the perfect time. I had just seen my dentist the week before and he was adamant that I needed to get a night guard made. I was about ready to commit and pay $300 to have one made when Pro Teeth Guard emailed me. What a blessing!
Pro Teeth Guard is operated by a dental lab located in San Diego, California. The lab has been servicing dentists for over 10 years and has delivered thousands of perfectly fitted custom night guards, mouth guards, dentures, dental crowns and bridges to dentists in the San Diego area. They now take online orders to meet the demand of consumers nationwide. Night guards range between $109.99 and $159.99, depending on the style. Compared to what most dentist offices charge, it is a much cheaper alternative!
From the moment I began working with Pro Teeth Guard, I have had a pleasant experience. I ordered a “hybrid” night guard ($139.99), based on my dentist’s recommendation. It is hard on the outside and soft on the inside, ensuring a comfortable fit. It is good for moderate to heavy grinding and will last 2-5 years, depending on the degree of grinding.
Within a week of ordering my hybrid night guard, an impression kit arrived at my house. The impression kit came with four containers of putty, two different sizes of mouth trays, and a prepaid envelope to return the completed impression. The instructions were detailed and had pictures to show how to do each step. You only have so much time to mix two different putties together and create an impression before the putty becomes hard. Thankfully, Pro Teeth Guard sends two sets of putty in case your first impression doesn’t turn out. I actually messed up both impressions, but they were understanding and quickly sent out a new kit at no cost to me.
After getting a good impression the second time around, I sent it back to Pro Teeth Guard in the prepaid envelope. The lab technician then made my night guard using the impression I sent in. It only took about a week to for them to finish it and get it back to me.
As soon as I received the hybrid night guard, I could tell that it was made with quality materials. I tried it on and it seemed to fit great. After the first night of wearing it, I woke up with a couple of teeth that were sore to the touch. I emailed Pro Teeth Guard and they asked me to send it back so that they could make a minor adjustment to it. They quickly fixed it and sent it back to me.
I have now been wearing it for about a week and I love it! It fits perfectly. It is comfortable and I really like that it isn’t bulky and doesn’t move around when I sleep. The best part is it has prevented me from clenching my teeth, which means no more headaches or jaw pain! There is something to be said for ordering a custom night guard that is made to fit your mouth perfectly!
If your dentist has been encouraging you to get a night guard, but you haven’t been able to afford one, I highly recommend ordering from Pro Teeth Guard. You will save at least 50% ordering direct from them versus your dentist’s office. The Pro Teeth Guard staff is friendly and professional and they will make sure that you are 100% satisfied!
Pro Teeth Guard has generously offered to give away a custom night guard to one lucky winner! Winner will choose the night guard style (soft, hybrid or hard) valued at $109-159.
