Inspired by Finn Review & Giveaway (Baltic Amber Teething Necklace) ENDS 1/23

I am excited to bring you another fantastic company, Inspired by Finn! I’ve been given the opportunity to review two of their Baltic Amber Necklaces, also known as “baltic amber teething necklaces.” They are necklaces that are meant to be worn, not chewed on. We’ve been using them on our twin girls since they were around 4-5 months old to help with the pain caused from teething. Our girls are now 13 months, and still wear their necklaces on a daily basis. I also have an adult sized Baltic Amber necklace that I have been wearing off and on for about 8 months to help with chronic tension headaches.

Semi-Polished “Mixture”

If you are like I was when I first heard about these necklaces (and bracelets), you might be a little skeptical as to whether or not they really work. I can say that they do work, and they truly are amazing!!!

To give you a better idea of how they work, here’s some background information about Baltic Amber and its healing effects:

While Baltic Amber looks like a stone, it’s actually fossilized tree resin that works as an analgesic (pain reliever). Historically, Baltic Amber has been used in Europe for centuries as a natural and traditional remedy and curative for many ailments, including teething. Long ago it was considered one of the leading ‘medicines’ of its time. Baltic Amber is the most esteemed amber in the world, and the healing qualities of Baltic Amber make it unlike any other type of amber found in the world.

So how does it work?
When Baltic Amber is worn on the skin, the skin’s warmth releases trace amounts of healing oils from the amber. These oils contain succinic acid and are absorbed into the skin. This natural pain reliever eliminates the need to medicate with tylenol or ibuprofen to ease pain, and is safe and natural for both children and adults. Baltic Amber has some of the highest concentrations of succinic acid found in nature, and this is what makes it so special. I have to say that my twins have benefited greatly from wearing their Baltic Amber necklaces! They have been wearing the 12″ Light Mix for about 8 months now and we have seen great results. I really was skeptical at first (and so was the rest of my family), but I definitely notice a difference in my girls when they wear them. I honestly have only given them Tylenol 1 or 2 times since they started teething at around 5 months. That is how much the necklaces have helped! We never even know when our girls are getting new teeth. All of the sudden a new tooth will pop through, and we are surprised because they didn’t even seem fussy.

There have been several times when we have taken their necklaces off for bath time and have forgotten to put them back on. The next day I will have two very fussy girls, and my husband and I will joke that it’s because they aren’t wearing their necklaces. We joke about it, but it’s the truth! When we put them back on, we notice within an hour that our girls are much calmer and happier!

Now that our girls are older, we do allow them to wear their necklaces when they sleep (although it’s recommended that you remove them). I was afraid to do this when they were younger, but I really don’t worry about it now. Each bead is individually knotted so that if the necklace breaks, not all of the beads will fall off at once. Also, most of the necklaces come with a screw-clasp that will break if 20 lbs of pressure are applied. That way if the necklace catches on something it will break off and not choke your little one. If you are worried about your baby wearing a necklace, you can have them wear it as an anklet instead, or buy a bracelet.

I have also been wearing my own Baltic Amber necklace in Light Mix on and off for about 8 months. I haven’t worn it as much lately because I haven’t been getting as many headaches. I did notice a difference when I did wear it though. It’s not a quick-fix by any means. If you get migraines you may want to stick to your regular medication.
