Sidral Mundet is an apple-flavored, authentic Mexican soft drink made with 100% real sugar. Sidral comes in two great flavors – regular and green apple – and has been a mainstay in the Mexican-American community since the early 1900s. Today, it has gained a considerable following at mom & pop restaurants, soda shops and food trucks alike.
Novamex, the distributor of Sidral Mundet (and other popular Mexican food products), sent me a bottle of regular and green apple soda to try. The regular soda tastes like carbonated apple juice and has a golden color. It is a good choice if you prefer an authentic apple taste. The green apple soda tastes more like a green apple Jolly Rancher and is a bright green color. It was definitely the favorite of the two in our house! I had to fight with my 9 year old son to get it back, it was so yummy!
There’s nothing like drinking an ice cold soda from a glass bottle either. Something about it just makes it taste better, and of course the kids think it’s so much more fun to drink pop out of bottle!
