8 Benefits of Having a Kaiku Prepaid Card

When I was 15, I accidentally left my wallet on an airplane. I was devastated when I went back to get it and someone had taken all of my cash out. It was all I had for an entire week at basketball camp. I had to borrow money from my friends until I could pay them back. It wasn’t a fun experience to say the least. Ever since then, I rarely carry cash. I am too afraid of misplacing it. I would much rather pay with a card. It’s much safer and more convenient. I also like that it’s easier to track my spending.

If you’re like me and would prefer to steer clear of cash, there are many different card options to choose from. Depending on your circumstances, you may choose to use a debit card, credit card or prepaid card. I use my debit card for most purchases, since it takes the funds right out of my checking account. I only use my credit cards for big purchases that I know I can pay off quickly. I have found prepaid cards, like the Kaiku Visa Prepaid Card to be super handy, especially for my teenage son who hasn’t established any credit yet.

The Kaiku Prepaid Visa Card works much like a debit card, only the funds are prepaid. You can reload it as often as you want for a low monthly fee of $3. You can bypass the fee by direct depositing a minimum of $750 per month and by using any of the in-network ATMS. There are no activation fees, usage fees, card declined fees or currency conversion fees. It’s a great option for someone with little or no credit or for someone who would rather not have a checking account.

The Kaiku Prepaid Card not only makes it easy to add funds and shop with ease, it also makes it easy to stay on a budget by tracking your spending. I’ve been using my own Kaiku Prepaid Card for about a month now and I love it! It’s easy to use and especially like that I can easily add more funds when needed. I’m actually considering adding another card to my account for my 13-year-old son to use. He has started mowing lawns and doing odd jobs to make money. While he has a savings account, he doesn’t have a checking account so he pays for everything in cash. I worry that he will lose his money like I did when I was younger, so I think a card would be a better option for him. I could pay him for chores by adding money to his card and any cash he makes from mowing lawns could easily be added to his account by visiting a VISA Readylink location.
