I can’t believe how quickly summer break flew by! My kids went back to school last week, and as much as I didn’t want to see them go, it has been nice to finally get back into a routine. My twin girls started first grade this year and so far they are loving it. One of their favorite parts is getting to eat lunch at school. I’m sure the excitement will wear off after a while, but for now they think it’s pretty cool!
While there will be days that my girls eat hot lunch at school, I plan on packing them a lunch most days. It’s important to me that I pack them food that is both healthy and delicious. I used to think that it was too expensive to eat natural and/or organic foods until I discovered the Natural Foods Department at King Soopers.
King Soopers is my go-to place for all of my grocery shopping, especially when it comes to natural and organic foods. They have a wide selection of quality brands to choose from such as Silk, Horizon Organic, SO Delicious and Simple Truth.
My girls and I had fun shopping the Natural Foods Department at our local King Soopers the other day. We had no trouble finding plenty of great items to pack for lunch the first week of school.
My girls picked out a variety of Horizon Organic products — Milk Boxes, Cheese Cracker Sandwiches, Cinnamon Snack Grahams and Mozzarella Cheese Sticks. They also picked out a selection of natural/organic foods — carrot sticks, grapes, strawberries, apples, whole wheat bread and tortillas, peanut butter, strawberry jam, turkey lunch meat and cheese slices.
Since this will be my girls’ first year eating lunch at school, I thought it would be fun to make some cute animal lunch notes to pack in their lunch boxes to brighten their day. It’s a simple gesture that goes a long way, especially on those first days of school. Aren’t they cute?

I think it makes kids feel special when they find a hand written or a printable notell signed by mom, or whomever, in their lunch box. I can’t believe your kids tarter school 2 weeks ago! The norm around Massachusetts is the last week of August and when I was a kid, it was always the Tuesday or Wednesday after labor day lol. My daughter gets breakfast and hot lunch at school but I don’t like her getting either..,,they do offer healthier options like fruit salads for breakfast and lower sugar cereal- but my daughter will blatantly say that she chooses the muffin or breakfast sandwich…..and they’re lunch chest don’t sound too healthy…. taco Tuesday, and pizza friday- so I’ve been doing some research on healthy yet tasty lunch for a 10 year old…. thanks for the printable!

Love the printables. I always loved to write notes in the lunches. I liked packing lunches so I pretty much knew what was eaten (or hoped I did ) I think proteins are important around lunchtime. I always liked including cheese or peanit butter and crackers amongst the other things.

These little notes are adorable!! We don’t have this store near me, never heard of it before. I shop sales and specials, sometimes get stuck paying too much.
