My Switch to WordPress

A couple of days ago my blog officially migrated from Blogger to WordPress. I had been wanting to make the switch for a long time, but was just too scared to take the plunge. I was worried that I would lose all of my posts and comments, but I am pleased that everything transferred over just fine. The only problem I’ve run into is some of my posts are showing up as “page not found” when people land on them. This is due to some of the permalinks being altered during the transfer. I am working hard to change the ones that I can, but unfortunately I am afraid some of my posts that are archived in google just won’t work until the next time they index my blog…

My blog design is also a little messed up in certain spots right now. I am still learning how to tweak things in WordPress, so if things look a little off right now it’s because I’m still trying to figure out how to do everything. As a result, you may not see as many posts from me until I get everything sorted out. Please be patient with me. 🙂 Hopefully it won’t take too long for everything to be back to normal. I am looking forward to all the freedom that WordPress brings!

Are you looking to transfer to WordPress? I would highly recommend using Blogelina. She only charges $85 and that includes a year’s worth of hosting. A year of hosting by itself is approximately $84, so you basically get the transfer for free!
