Earlier this month, I shared how we were stepping up our oral care routine. After a summer of fun we had developed some bad habits, but we were looking forward to getting back on track. We were sent a variety of LISTERINE products to help kickstart our journey and now that we’ve been using the products for a few weeks, I am happy to share our results!
When it comes to taking care of our teeth, we have different strengths and weaknesses. I am religious about brushing and flossing my teeth twice a day, but I am horrible about remembering to use a rinse. On the other hand, my husband hates flossing but almost always remembers to use a rinse. The kids are all great about brushing, but won’t floss or use a rinse unless we tell them to. So after a few weeks of working hard to be more well-rounded at taking care of our teeth, I can definitely say that we have made some improvements!
I have been challenging myself to use the LISTERINE HEALTHY WHITE GENTLE Rinse every time I brush my teeth. Sometimes I only do it once a day, but it’s definitely an improvement from before. I like how the rinse is gentle, yet effective. I also like that it helps whiten your teeth. It’s important to me that my teeth are healthy and look nice, so this is a great product for me to continue to use.
My husband has come a long way with flossing. I mentioned before that he absolutely hates it. He has sensitive gums and flossing tends to irritate them and make them bleed. I think he also hates taking the time. The LISTERINE ULTRACLEAN ACCESS Flosser has made flossing a lot easier for him. It’s gentle, effective and saves time compared to traditional floss.
Our twin girls are still a little too young to effectively brush their own teeth, so every night my husband and I have been helping them. We make sure to show them the proper way to brush and then we let them practice. We have also been showing them how to floss with the LISTERINE Flosser. They can’t do it on their own yet, but I’m sure they will before long!
With just two weeks until he is a officially a teenager, our son is at a crucial age for establishing and maintaining good oral health. He has all adult teeth now, so we have been strongly encouraging him to brush, floss and rinse twice a day. He is great about doing it at night, but we still have to remind him to do it in the morning. He really likes the LISTERINE SMART RINSE and I feel better knowing that he has the added protection against cavities.
As parents, it’s important to lead by example in everything we do. Showing our kids how to have good oral health is extremely important. Setting an oral care routine and sticking to it may be difficult at first, but with practice and repetition it eventually becomes a habit.

This sounds like a great line of products. My son is only 3 and obviously at that age can't independently brush his teeth properly. However, after I brush his teeth, he loves to use the toothbrush himself for a few seconds, so I am happy to allow him to do so. He likes using his Scooby Doo toothpaste.
