How to Deep Clean Your Home Without Harsh Chemicals

bon ami disclosure

I have a love-hate relationship with cleaning. I love having a spotless home, but I hate spending half of my day getting it that way. I also hate how quickly it gets messed up (oh, the joys of having kids and a dog!). Now that we are in the midst of spring cleaning, I have been working on deep cleaning my kitchen and bathrooms. It’s boring and time consuming, but it has to be done. Read on to see how I’ve learned to simplify deep cleaning my home without using harsh chemicals!

How to Deep Clean Your Home Without Harsh Chemicals

Beyond my usual kitchen and bathroom cleaning (wiping down sinks and countertops, scrubbing toilets, mopping, etc.), I am taking the time to do the things that don’t have to be done as often — organize pantry, clean out fridge, clean behind appliances, wipe down cabinets, clean and deodorize microwave, and remove stains from sinks, toilets and bathtubs.

Now, I don’t know about you, but when it comes to cleaning, I want to keep it simple. I don’t want to lug around a cleaning caddy filled with tons of bottles. Having too many products to choose from is overwhelming. I’d much rather have 1-2 products that can tackle numerous jobs, and if they can get the job done without harsh chemicals, that is huge bonus.

Simplify Spring Cleaning with Bon Ami

When I was a kid, my parents used Bon Ami powder cleanser to clean just about everything. I remember using it to clean our toilets, sinks, bathtubs, countertops, stove top, floors, and more. It was, and still is, a simple, yet effective formula that I trust to clean my home today.
