Tropical Traditions Oxygen Bleach Review

For the longest time, I have been wanting to find an eco-friendly alternative to using chlorine bleach to get the dingy smell out of my dish rags and towels. Chlorine bleach is terrible for the environment and can be toxic to humans, so I really don’t like using it. Thankfully, I finally found an alternative!

I recently started using Tropical Traditions Oxygen Bleach and it WORKS! I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and I LOVE it!

What is Oxygen Bleach?

Oxygen Bleach is a safe and effective alternative to chlorine-based products and it can be used in many applications in and around the home. It is based on sodium percarbonate which uses oxygen for destaining and deodorizing.

Oxygen Bleach is safe to use at all temperatures, on most washable fabrics, and all colors, in hard or soft water, and is compatible with other household cleaners. Also, it produces no harmful by-products which negatively affect the environment.

Unlike chlorine bleach, which can merely cover up a stain, Tropical Traditions Oxygen Bleach attacks and breaks down organic stains to totally remove them from the garment.

Ingredients: Sodium percarbonate, soda ash

My Experience with Oxygen Bleach

I really was skeptical that the oxygen bleach would be able to get my towels smelling clean again, but I was pleasantly surprised! It’s so easy to use and it works wonderfully.

I have a front-loading washer, so I just put a scoop of the powder in my wash basin before putting my towels in, and then I run the washer like normal.

I have also used the oxygen bleach in a load of white clothes to help destain and whiten. I haven’t noticed a huge difference as far as whitening goes, but it may be something I notice over time.

Oxygen Bleach can be used for so many other things around the house such as:
*Cleaning carpets
*Destaining lawn furniture
*Cleaning and restoring wood decks
*Cleaning sinks, toilets, and floors
*Deodorizing trash cans
*Cleaning stains around the house

Oxygen Bleach can also be used to whiten, destain and deodorize cloth diapers! I didn’t use cloth diapers with my twins, but I know quite a few moms who do. This would be a great option for getting those diapers nice and clean without using harsh chemicals.

I would highly recommend this product to everyone! It’s definitely one of my favorite review items to date! If you would like to buy Tropical Traditions Oxygen Bleach, it’s on sale right now for $16.95 for a 6 lb. container (reg. $30). That is a lot of product for the price!
