I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Dove. I received product samples to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item as a thank-you for participating.
Let’s be honest ladies — shaving stinks. I chuckle a little when I recount the time in 5th grade when I asked my mom if I could shave for the first time. She told me that I should wait as long as possible, that I would regret having to do it all the time. I thought she was crazy. But now I totally get it.
As a mom, I don’t like taking time out of my busy day to shave. There are so many other things I would rather be doing with my time, but it’s something that has to be done, especially since I workout at the gym every day. But the time factor really isn’t the issue for me. The main reason I don’t like it is because I have extremely sensitive skin. Shaving causes my underarms to get red bumps and dark marks that not only hurt, they are embarrassing. Apparently, I’m not the only one. 32 million women in the U.S. experience underarm red and dark marks that result from shaving irritation.
Over the years, I have tried everything to remedy the problem — shaving creams and deodorants designed to help with sensitive skin, different brands of razors, and simply shaving less often. I never once thought that moisturizing my underarms could fix the problem.
As a result of shaving, underarm skin loses 50% more moisture, which can lead to dryness and irritation. Dove Clear Tone Anti-Perspirant/Deodorant is not only designed to reduce red and dark marks in just two weeks, it also provides 1/4 moisturizers to replenish skin after shaving. Specially formulated with Calendula and Sunflower Seed Extracts, Dove Clear Tone accelerates the natural skin renewal process to help restore skin to its natural tone. Dove Clear Tone also offers 48-hour odor and wetness protection and comes in four scents.
While Dove has been my deodorant brand of choice for the past year, I had yet to try the Clear Tone line. When I received the Pink/Rosa and Skin Renew varieties, I couldn’t wait to try them out. I’ve been using the Pink/Rosa for a little over a week now and I am impressed! It goes on smoothly, without leaving my underarms feeling wet or irritated, and smells great. Plus, I’ve already noticed an improvement — only a few red or dark marks and my underarms feel soft and moisturized. I can’t wait to see the results over time!
I encourage you to give Dove Clear Tone a try! You can find it at drugstores nationwide.
