White water rafting with the Air Force Academy guides (we went as a guest of one of the guides)--I was the only newbie in a boat full of guys barking orders (instead of just one person giving directions)--had an absolute blast although my ears rang for days! :)

The most extreme thing I did was take a slight detour on my way to an Air Force Academy football game in Colorado Springs, and instead we ended up at the Royal Gorge in Canyon City... Long before cell phones so we couldn't call home to tell our parents where we ended up!
