The Little Mermaid was one of my all-time favorite movies growing up. My friends and I had so much fun watching it and singing along with the catchy songs. It’s a movie that you instantly fall in love with and want to see again and again. When I heard that it was going to be released on Blu-ray/DVD earlier this month, I couldn’t wait to get a copy for my twin girls!

Up until last week, I hadn’t seen The Little Mermaid in years. To say I was excited to finally watch it again would be an understatement. My old VHS tape bit the dust years ago and I never replaced it with the DVD. I had been meaning to rent a copy from the library for my twin girls to watch since it was the only “princess” movie they hadn’t seen, but hadn’t gotten around to it. I’m glad I waited, because watching it in Blu-ray is definitely a treat! The quality is amazing! The producers did a great job of editing it to make it more visually appealing.

Watching the The Little Mermaid for the first time with my twin girls was so much fun. It was exciting to see their eyes light up when they saw Ariel for the first time, and now that they have watched the movie several times it is fun to listen to them sing along with the songs. It’s already become one of their favorite movies and one of my girls has even decided that she wants to be Ariel for Halloween.

The Little Mermaid has proven over time that it is a classic movie that has and will be loved for many more generations to come. If you haven’t already, you need to get a copy and watch it for yourself!
