It’s been a monumental week for Outlander fans across the nation. The best-selling book series finally made its television debut this past weekend. The show is provided by Time Warner Cable and featured exclusively on Starz. The first episode was really good, so you’ll want to make sure you set your DVR to record the second episode this Saturday at 9 PM EST/PST. You don’t want to miss it!
The Outlander series is adapted from Diana Gabaldon’s international best-selling books and spans the genres of romance, science fiction, history, and adventure in one epic tale. I had the opportunity to watch the first two episodes of the show and they did not disappoint! In the first episode, Claire, a married WWII combat nurse from 1945 is mysteriously swept back in time to 1743 Scotland, where she is kidnapped by a group of Highlanders. She meets a man named Jamie and while he provides her comfort, she is scared and doesn’t know how she will get back to her husband.
I don’t want to give away any details about the second episode since it hasn’t aired yet, but I can tell you that it is filled with romance, adventure and suspense! There is some gore and nudity, so keep that in mind if you have kids.
If you missed the first episode, you can you can stream it for free on Starz online or you can catch a sneak peek here. Then make sure you tune in for the second episode set to air this Saturday, August 16 at 9 PM EST/PST on Starz.
Make sure you also “like” the Outlander Facebook page to chat with other fans and stay up-to-date with the show.
