Afternoon Mommy Time With International Delight Mocha Iced Coffee #IcedCoffee #CBias

It’s a little after 2 PM and my house is quiet. My two-year-old twin daughters are down for their afternoon nap and my ten-year-old son is playing outside with the neighbor kids. For the next 2-3 hours I will have time to myself to get some things done. This is the time of day I like to call my afternoon mommy time. I use this time to blog, clean the house, shop online, or take a nap. It’s my time to recharge so that I can be a better wife and mother.

Most days during my afternoon mommy time you will find me at my little computer desk by the window typing away. I am either writing blog posts, researching deals and coupons, or sorting through email. I stay very busy with my blog and this time of day is really the only time I have to get things done. Plus, it’s the only time of day when the house is quiet. I have to be able to hear myself think in order to focus, so I try to be productive and get all of my blog work done during this time if I can. As crazy as it sounds, I love working during my free time. It’s relaxing to me, but at the same time I feel challenged and accomplished. It gives me something to work for outside of being a stay-at-home mom.

Today I am working on blog posts {like this one} while enjoying my Mocha Iced Coffee and a bowl of dark chocolate covered pomegranates. Can we say caffeine overload? Let’s just hope that I get my stuff done before it wears off!

I almost always have stuff to get done during my mommy time, but some days I decide to just relax and not do any work. It’s nice to take a break from everything that needs to be done {because there always is} and just hang out on my front or back porch. Now that it’s almost Summer, I like to sit back and relax with my International Delight Mocha Iced Coffee. If my husband is home, he will join me and we will just sit and talk about life. The birds are usually chirping and the mountains are in the background, so it’s the perfect setting. By the time nap time is over, I am feeling recharged and ready to step back into mommy mode!
