Having healthy, beautiful hair is important to me. I’ve pretty much had long hair every since high school, minus the one time in college when I cut it off to my shoulders. People are always asking me what products I use and what I do to keep my hair so healthy.
I honestly don’t do a whole lot — the key is to not overdo it. I highlight and color my hair, but for the most part I just let it be natural. I use a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner designed for color-treated hair and I try to let my hair air-dry most days of the week. On the days I do style my hair, I make sure to also apply a finishing oil — I recommend agave or macadamia oil. Styling tools definitely take a toll on hair and cause it to become dry and brittle, so I recommend only curling or straightening your hair a couple of times a week.
