Stylish Sun Protection With Real Kids Shades {Giveaway}

Now that the weather has been much nicer, we have been spending a lot more time outside riding bikes and going to the park. It’s important to me that I wear sunglasses when I am out in the sun, so I figure it is just as important, if not more important, for my kids to wear sunglasses when they are out playing in the sun. As parents, we often overlook having our children wear sunglasses. Why? Because they fall off, they break easily, the kids pull them off…the list goes on. I know that I personally have just never found sunglasses that actually stay on my kids. That’s why I was so excited when Real Kids Shades offered to send a pair of sunglasses for each one of my kids to try out for review.

If you have never heard of Real Kids Shades, they make sunglasses for kids ages 0-12 that are not only stylish, but also protective. All Real Kids shades have lenses made with shatterproof, impact-resistant polycarbonate that offer 100% UVA/UVA protection. Unlike many other kids sunglasses on the market, Real Kids Shades are made to last and they actually provide protection from the suns harmful rays. Depending on how old your child is, some of the styles even come with bands to keep the shades from falling off your child’s head.

My kids often complain about the sun being in their eyes, so I was anxious to have them try out their new Real Kids Shades. My three-year-old twin girls were sent matching pairs of the Flex style — one pair in hot pink and one pair in purple. The Flex style is designed to fit kids ages 3-7. My girls are almost three and a half and they fit them perfectly, with room to grow as they get older. As soon as we took them out of the package, I could tell that they were high quality sunglasses that would last my girls a long time. Plus, they are super cute!

What we love about the Flex Sunglasses:

  • The frames are rubberized, allowing them to be extremely bendable. I don’t have to worry about my girls breaking them!
  • The lenses are shatterproof, polycarbonate 100% UVA/UVB
  • They come with a removable neoprene strap
  • They are super cute and stylish!

My son was thrilled to open his up and try them on. They fit him perfectly! He loves the white frames and blue reflective lenses. He says they are really comfortable and he likes the way things look through the lenses. He starts baseball next week and plans on wearing them for both games and practices to keep the evening sun out of his eyes.
