Tommee Tippee Added Comfort Feeding Bottles {Review & Giveaway}

My 3 month old baby Clementine had a gassy belly for awhile. Every night before bed, she would scream so hard and clench her entire body. Was she just tired? Hungry? Or was it gas?

As a first time mom, her cries often left me guessing as to what was wrong. My bet was gas though, so I decided to try a different kind of bottle. I went to the Tommee Tippee website to see what kind of options they have. Their selection spans from the normal Feeding Bottle over to the Sensitive Tummy Feeding Bottle to the Added Comfort Feeding Bottle. Comfort! That’s what I was looking for! For the entire family! No more screaming please… The website promises “superior venting”, “easy latch on”, “reduced risk of baby ingesting air during feeding.” All of this sounded good to me, so I decided to give them a try.

The first thing I noticed that was different about the Added Comfort Feeding Bottle is that it has a purple little tube going into the bottle. They call it the venting tube. It changes color when the milk is too hot. Great, that eliminates one of the many fears that parents have. Another thing that I noticed that looks different is the nipple. They have a ribbed texture that is stretchy, mimicking a mom’s breast. Seems like a good solution for moms that want to switch between breast and bottle feeding.

With our old bottles the nipple would get sucked into the bottle and I had to unlatch every other minute to let the air out with almost a little baby fart sound. Bottle feeders know what I am talking about… With the Tommee Tippee Comfort bottle this doesn’t happen anymore! They somehow designed it in a way that the pressure in the bottle stays the same and that makes feeding more continuous and more comfortable.

Finally, I like when things are easy and practical so the fact that all of the Tommee Tippee bottles and nipples are dishwasher safe is a big plus for me.

So what happened with Clem’s gas? It went away. Was it the bottles? Or would it have gone away at that point in time anyway? Hard to know, but I think so! Mostly, I am just happy those screaming evenings are over!
