My day officially starts when I am able to sit down and enjoy a cup of hot coffee. The sooner this happens, the better! I’m usually pretty grumpy until I have my cup of joe (hey, at least I can admit it!). Most of the time I enjoy my coffee with a little half & half cream and stevia, but lately I’ve been treating myself to Caramel Macchiato flavored creamer from International Delight. This is pretty exciting, considering the Caramel Macchiato is my absolute favorite coffeehouse drink. Now I can enjoy the delectable combination of caramel and vanilla in my coffee at home any time I want!

It’s been especially hot here lately, so I’ve been creating a variety of refreshing drinks. I thought it would be fun to take my Caramel Macchiato creamer and use it to create one of my childhood favorites — the Italian Cream Soda. The combination of sweet syrup, cream and club soda is so yummy. It’s my weakness! I figured it would be even more amazing with hints of caramel and vanilla with the Caramel Macchiato creamer.

Making this Caramel Macchiato Cream Soda is so easy! All you need is coffee concentrate (vanilla or caramel syrup works too if you don’t like coffee), International Delight Caramel Macchiato Creamer, club soda and ice. Simply combine the ingredients together in a glass and top with whipped cream and caramel topping. In less than a minute, you’ve got an amazing afternoon pick-me-up!

The exciting thing is this drink can be made non-alcoholic or alcoholic, depending on your preference. If you substitute the coffee concentrate for coffee liqueur, it turns into a delicious after-dinner drink. A cocktail + dessert all-in-one!

This Caramel Macchiato Cream Soda is truly decadent. If you want to take your love for coffee to a whole new level, you have to try it! It’s rich, creamy and refreshing — it’s truly one-of-a-kind.

Ingredients

• 2 oz Coffee Concentrate OR Coffee Liqueur (I recommend Kahlua)
• 2 tbsp International Delight Caramel Macchiato Creamer (add more or less to your liking)
• Club Soda
• Ice

Instructions

1. Fill a glass half-full with ice. Add coffee concentrate or coffee liqueur and Caramel Macchiato Creamer. Top off with club soda.
2. Add whipped cream and caramel topping if you wish. Enjoy!

Notes

Substitutions for coffee concentrate: 4 oz brewed coffee (chilled) or 2 oz caramel or vanilla syrup.
