While Halloween is an exciting and fun time for kids, it can be scary for parents. We have to worry about things like tampered candy and our kids walking around the neighborhood in the dark. Even though my family lives in a safe neighborhood, we still try to be proactive about our kids’ safety, especially on Halloween when there are more cars on the streets.
One way to stay safe on the streets is to walk in a group and carry a flashlight. Another fun way to stay safe is to have your kids wear light-up shoes. Stride Rite has shoes that incorporate today’s latest light up technology so they are visible at night as your child runs from house to house.
We received a pair of Disney Wish Lights Aurora shoes for review and my twin girls went crazy with excitement when they arrived. They were enamored by the sparkles and the fact that the shoes light up. Both girls took turns trying them on and jumping around to make the lights go off.
Of course, I ended up having to buy another pair so that each girl had her own. Since one of my girls is dressing up as Rapunzel we decided that she would keep the pink shoes.
My other girl is dressing up as Cinderella so we ordered her a pair of Disney Wish Lights Cinderella shoes. Both pairs of shoes match perfectly with the girls’ costumes and will be great for trick-or-treating!
