Mint Chocolate Covered Pretzels for St. Patrick’s Day

Mint Chocolate Covered Pretzels

St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner so I thought it would be fun to start sharing some recipes themed for the holiday. Today I’m sharing a yummy recipe for mint chocolate covered pretzels adorned with green and white nonpareils. The best part is these pretzels are great no matter what day it is. They are so addicting that you will probably want to plan on making a double batch — one for you to munch on and one to give away. Simply place in a pretty jar or baggie tied with a ribbon and you have a nice gift!

You can adjust this recipe for just about any holiday — simply use different colored nonpareils. And if you don’t like mint chocolate, you can always substitute it for milk chocolate or white chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 20-25 mini pretzel twists
  • ½ C. of Wilton Mint Chocolate candy melts
  • Wilton St. Patrick's Day Nonpareils

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with wax paper or foil.
  2. In a microwave safe bowl, microwave the Mint Chocolate in 30 second increments stirring after every 30 seconds. Once melted let cool 1-2 minutes.
  3. Dip the mini pretzels one at a time in the chocolate and completely cover, lift out with a fork and let the excess chocolate drip into the bowl. Lay on cookie sheet. After every 3-4 pretzels are dipped sprinkle with the green and white nonpareils before the chocolate sets. Repeat the process with the other pretzels.
  4. Place in fridge for 15-20 minutes to set.
