Ready for an Upgrade? Sell Your Device on eBay

My blog post was written as part of my collaboration with eBay.

My husband and son have been drooling over the new PlayStation 4 for months. Now that it’s officially been released, they have been begging to get one. I told them we could upgrade as long as we sold our PlayStation 3 to help compensate for some of the cost. Over the years, we have turned to eBay to help us quickly and easily sell items that we no longer want, so when I learned that eBay’s new Simple Flow interface makes it easier than ever to sell a game console, I couldn’t wait to try it out.

As a seller on eBay for almost 12 years, I have to say that eBay has definitely made it easier than ever to sell a console with the Simple Flow interface. I was able to list our PlayStation 3 in just a few minutes and the entire process was quick and seamless. In the past, the selling process took forever, with multiple pages to go through and edit. Now it’s a matter of clicking a handful buttons and you’re item is up for sale.

Ready to see how easy it is to sell your console? Follow along below as I document the process of listing our PS3.

Step #5 – Click “Next” to make any customizations or stick with eBay’s suggested prices for auction and “Buy It Now.”

Step #6 – Make any customizations to the listing. At this point, I could have submitted my listing but I chose to edit mine a little bit. I started by changing the title and adding two of my own photos. I also added in a description of what was included in the auction. I left the suggested auction price, but removed the “Buy It Now” price. I also left the shipping details the same. The best part is it’s free to list, so if our item doesn’t sell we aren’t out any money.

Once I had everything complete, I clicked the “List it” button and just like that our PS3 was officially listed for sale. In a little less than a week, our PS3 should be sold and we will have some extra cash to put towards a PS4!

With the holidays right around the corner, now would be a great time to sell your old phone, tablet, or console on eBay. Not only will you make some extra cash for holiday spending, you will also have a great excuse to buy that new device you’ve been wanting! Head on over to the Simple Flow interface and start selling today.
