Why Your High Schooler Needs a Chromebook

As I help my kids prepare for back to school, I’m feeling a mix of emotions. I’m excited for them to learn and succeed, but I’m also sad that summer break is almost over. I’m also feeling extra emotional because my son is starting his senior year of high school. I can’t believe it. The time has gone by so quickly! This post is sponsored by Mirum, but opinions expressed are my own.

It seems like just yesterday my boy was starting his first day of kindergarten, and now he is less than a week away from starting his senior year of high school. I have watched him grow and mature into a smart, creative, and hardworking young man. I am so proud of him and want to do everything I can to help him have a successful school year.

This year he will be taking a couple of college classes at our local community college in partnership with his high school. It will be a great opportunity for him to get some college credits out of the way while still in high school. I know it’s going to be a challenge for him, but I know he will do great with the right tools!

Almost all of my son’s classes will require him to turn assignments in online, so it’s an absolute must that he has a computer to do homework on. He’s always needing to use mine, so I decided it was time for him to have his own!

After doing a little research, I decided that a Chromebook would be the best choice for him. Chromebooks are fast, easy to use, and an affordable option at Walmart. Plus, he’s used to using them at school. Getting him one was a no-brainer!

Why Your High Schooler Needs a Chromebook

The other day I surprised him with his new laptop, an HP Chromebook 15 powered by the new 8th generation Intel® CoreTM i3 processor. He was so surprised and happy to finally have his own laptop that he will be able to use this year and when he goes off to college next year!

Now he will have his own device to work on homework, take notes, collaborate on group projects, and more. He’ll be able to upload videos twice as fast, browse 2.7x faster2, and load Google Docs up to 3.6x faster3.

There are so many reasons to love the HP Chromebook! It loads content-rich webpages quickly, provides brilliant video playback, and lets you multitask across different apps effortlessly thanks to the Intel® i3 processor.

The amazing battery life, energy efficiency, and wireless connectivity keep you going even when the day runs long, and the built-in security plus cloud storage keeps you safe and secure. It’s truly a great performance for a great value.

As a mom, I do everything for my kids, and when it comes to school, I want to make sure that I give my kids everything they need to succeed. In this digital age, having a computer to complete schoolwork is a must and a Chromebook is a great option!
