Christmas may not be until next month, but I’m already getting into the holiday spirit. It’s kind of hard not to when all the stores already have their holiday decorations and seasonal food and drink items on the shelves. I’m not going to complain though!
Besides summer, this is my favorite time of year. I love the time spent with family, the delicious food and treats, and of course, all the seasonal holiday drinks!
I’m sure by now you’ve caught on to the fact that I am obsessed with coffee. I can’t live without it! I enjoy it just as it is, but I also love using it to create delicious recipes, especially ones that replicate my favorite coffeehouse drinks. It’s so much cheaper to make your own and they taste just as great!
International Delight makes it easy with their seasonal coffee creamers — Pumpkin Pie Spice, White Chocolate Raspberry, Frosted Sugar Cookie, and Peppermint Mocha. I’ve tried them all and the Peppermint Mocha is my favorite. It makes my coffee taste just like a White Chocolate Peppermint Mocha!
A White Chocolate Peppermint Mocha is my all-time favorite seasonal coffeehouse drink. The combination of white chocolate, milk, espresso/coffee, and peppermint is absolutely delicious and truly unique.
A traditional peppermint mocha has a strong cocoa flavor (more like hot chocolate), but a white chocolate peppermint mocha is sweet and creamy with hints of vanilla. It definitely warms you up and puts you in the holiday spirit!
Making your own White Chocolate Peppermint Mocha at home is easier than you might think! You don’t need a fancy espresso or latte maker to get the same taste you’d expect from a coffee shop and it’s cheaper too.
All you need is International Delight Peppermint Mocha Coffee Creamer, coffee, milk, whipped cream, and crushed peppermint/candy canes. Follow the recipe below and in just a few minutes, you’ll have a decadent coffeehouse drink!
White Chocolate Peppermint Mocha
Ingredients
- ¼ cup milk
- ¼ cup International Delight Peppermint Mocha Creamer
- ½ cup strong black coffee, freshly brewed
- whipped cream
- 1 candy cane or peppermint candy, crushed
Instructions
- Combine milk and creamer in a large mug. Microwave for 1 minute or until hot.
- Whisk in coffee.
- Top with whipped cream and crushed peppermint if desired.
Notes
To make a traditional, "dark" peppermint mocha, whisk in 1-2 tablespoons of chocolate syrup when you add the coffee to the milk and cream mixture.
Have you tried any of the seasonal coffee creamers from International Delight? Which one is your favorite?
